SUMMARY 
  • This position is responsible for providing “expert” guidance, analysis, and execution for continual improvements and process reengineering initiatives; and team facilitation to drive quantifiable improvements in the planning, execution, monitor and control, and overall enhancing competencies, at a large-scale production center for executing geo-coding related activities that address both regional and global production requirements. This position will utilize advanced analytical and problem solving techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean, Value Analysis/Engineering, and Bottleneck/Cycle Time Analysis to lead project teams to develop and implement quality and productivity improvement.  This position reports to the Production Quality Manager.  
JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and teach, train, coach and mentor the team members for  the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and Kaizen methodology
  • Conduct regular ‘value stream reviews’ and ‘project performance data reviews’ to analysis,  determine and prioritize improvement opportunities for significant and measurable business impact
  • Apply advanced analytical and problem solving techniques to develop and implement actions to improve quality, cost, delivery and speed.
  • Utilize advanced problem solving and process improvement methodologies e.g. six sigma, kaizen, quality circles for leading/supporting various production initiatives
  • Apply skills to resolve business process issues/constraints and to find creative solutions to operational problems
  • Seek, share and institutionalize best practices
  • Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicate/present accomplishments, progress, status and issues
  • Lead and coach kaizen events and variation reduction projects

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelors in engineering or technical related discipline required
  • Additional qualifications/certifications in management/quality preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience with 3+  years experience minimum at leading continual improvements, and process re-engineering, using advanced quality tools
  • Combination of education and work experience can be considered for equivalence
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification required
  • Certification and/or demonstrable experience in other advanced problem solving and optimization techniques (i.e. Lean, Value Analysis/Engineering) highly desirable.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal.
  • Good project planning, and people management and coaching, skills.
  • Proven understanding of technology and work process flows
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced computer skills and excellent knowledge of business software applications such as MS Project/Open Workbench and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to collaborate with internal/external groups for effective problem resolution and change management
  • Strong Process oriented skills with self initiative to drive continual improvements
