SUMMARY
- This position is responsible
for leading ‘Production Operations’ activities for a workgroup
at a large-scale production center for executing geo-coding related
activities that address both regional and global production requirements.
Each work-group will consist of appropriately 100 to 150 people. This role
is under the general direction of the Director of the production center
(or the center leader).and is responsible for leading the workgroups
(projects/programs/regions) for effective project management (including
planning and execution) to achieve delivery, quality, cost and speed
targets.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide leadership to
production managers and production teams to improve project planning,
execution, and monitoring and control
- Collaborate with Field,
Product Management, and other functional groups to ensure that the
Production delivers effectively through the project and product lifecycles
- Ensure each work group
develops appropriate detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates,
resource plans and project tracking/reporting to effectively manage each
project
- Lead the interface with PMO
and other functional group to prioritize project execution and project
delivery planning
- Ensure adherence to
management processes, quality standards and project specifications; and
foster a culture of quality and performance
- Ensure employee performance
management is timely and appropriate across teams / groups
- Identifies and develops
processes and programs for continual improvements; and drives positive
change management
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors in engineering or
technical related discipline required
- MBA or equivalent desirable
- Minimum 11+ years of relevant
experience with 6+ years experience minimum at management
level
- Combination of educational
qualification and work experience can be considered for equivalence
- Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Ability to be flexible and
quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes.
- Strong interpersonal
communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal.
- Good leadership, people
management and coaching skills
- Proven understanding of
technology and work process flows
- Strong analytical and problem
solving skills
- Advanced computer skills and
excellent knowledge of business software applications such as MS Project/Open
Workbench and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to collaborate with
internal/external groups for effective problem resolution and change
management
- Strong Process oriented skills with self initiative to drive continual improvements
